CCS Membership
The Center relies on membership and donations to continue its work. All members receive regular news updates concerning Cuba and the Center via electronic mail. Although the Center magazine CUBA Update is no longer published, we hope to replace it with a monthly bulletin in the near future. All members receive regular mailings about Center-sponsored events, research programs in Cuba and developments in U.S.-Cuba relations. Members are entitled to a 20% discount on most items for sale (though not on Cuban art) and to participate in members-only functions. Supporting and sustaining members, in addition, receive a 10% discount on purchases of Cuban art and are invited to special events with visiting Cuban artists and experts in various fields. Further, supporters and sustainers can call upon Center staff for special requests.
Annual memberships are $60 (regular), $100-$150 (supporting) and $250-$500 (sustaining). A $500 membership entitles one to Sponsorship level in the Center. Institutional and foreign memberships are $70. Students and senior citizens from the U.S. can join at the special rate of $50 per year.
Cuban Art Space Membership.
For those whose primary interest is in the Center’s art facilities, it is possible to become a CAS member independent of CCS membership and thereby receive early notices of new art arrivals as well as discounts on art purchased. Annual memberships in the Cuban Art Space start at $100 (5% discount on art purchases); $250 (10% discount), $500 (15% discount) and $1,000 (20% discount). To be designated a “Patron” of the Cuban Art Space, annual tax-deductible donations to the Center for Cuban Studies should exceed $5000.
